Once you're ready to replace or put it back into the gun, add a little bit of breach plug grease just to prevent it from sticking in the future. I've seen several where people don't remove these and they become nearly impossible to remove from fouling / corrosion. Make sure you remove the nipple, clean and inspect it to ensure it's not corroded or partially obstructed. (it involved loading in the dark, a buffalo bullet, and a broken ramrod leaving me without a seated bullet before opening morning) I had a bad experience with a wooden ramrod once, and personally avoid them like the plague now. The delron rods are also decent for the price, and aren't supposed to break. I've use it for years at the range and hunting without any issues. It has a T handle so it's easy on the hand, and is aluminum so it won't break on you. Jaison sir, I use a T/C Power Rod for my ramrod.
